Saturday 18th April - Jim's Education Continues

Jim remains unimpressed but Terry continues to get very excited about........

........its incredible that you can get a front wheel drive transverse V8 of this size into a Lancia.

Its all in the badging! The V8 is a Ferrari engine in a Thema 8:32.

  1. Breakfast comment on Sunday from Kim having read last night's blog that to a degree she suppoerted Jim's view when saying the ferrari engineering did not "light her candle" either.

  2. Can we go back to the photos of the Montes and the scenery please!
Or I might go out and cut the grass instead!

  3. I'm disappointed in you, Jim. How can you not be excited that they got a front wheel drive transverse V8 of that size into a Lancia?

  5. We may not be hearing from them until later .... as by now they should be bobbing around on the Irish sea back to the UK slash Wales.

Did you catch up with Steve and Zoe in Rosslare and did anyone try my recommendation of the Lobster Pot Restaurant? I was actually in Rosslare when you passed through earlier in the week!

  6. Great read, brings back the memories of the event plus your journey to the west. I love the shot in the river crossing the road or huge puddle, looked terrific.

  7. Hi Alan - Jim and I were in the same B&B as Steve and Zoe and and the four of us joined Arnoud and Anushka in the Hotel they were staying in (St Helens) to eat. So will have to try the Lobster Pot next time!

  8. Good stuff. Thats my neck of the woods for holidays and car stuff - a surprising trove of Lancia wrecks lay within just minutes of your discovery. Glad you all met up again. We also sent an emissary family to accompany Steve and Zoe at Brittas Bay. Cheers!
