A photograph of the V4 Lancia Fluvia 1.6 HF owned by Kim Roberts.
Terry took the opportunity to educate Jim on the beauties and finer points of the compact narrow V4. Kim and Terry explained that the design of the engine dated from the 1960s and the power output was exceptional for its day winning many world rallies and championships. The engine was 'canted' in the bay to keep the bonnet low with front wheel drive through a five speed gear box and transaxle.
Youcan't beat a canted engine with a five speed gear box and transaxle; that's what I've always said.
